Real Madrid have seen their initial bid for Ivorian winger Yan Diomande rejected by RB Leipzig.

The Spanish giants made a surprise move for the 19-year-old winger, signaling their strong intent to secure his signature.

‎The La Liga side were reported to have submitted a surprise €100 million package for the 19-year-old winger, consisting of a €90 million base fee plus an additional €10 million in bonuses.

Despite the magnitude of the offer, as of today, RB Leipzig have reportedly rejected Real’s bid, further complicating Madrid’s pursuit for the attacking starlet.

PSG Agreement and Transfer Battle Intensifies

Back in June, Yan Diomande reportedly agreed a five-year deal with PSG, with the French club prepared to pay up to €130 million to Leipzig. At that stage, the move looked almost certain to materialize.

‎However, the situation has since evolved as the PSG are yet to be finalize the transfer fee with Leipzig.

‎According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid had also submitted a five-year contract proposal to the player, who is reportedly open to the move.

‎Interest in Diomandé remains high across Europe. Liverpool and Manchester City are among the strongest contenders for his signature.

Liverpool have made their stance clear, however, stating they will not exceed £85 million in pursuit of the winger.

City, on the other hand, had previously indicated their intention to make a formal approach for the player, though recent developments suggest a quieter stance.

Player Profile

‎Diomandé’s rapid rise has been nothing short of remarkable.

He joined Leipzig from Spanish side CD Leganés in 2025 for a fee of around €20 million. In just one season at the RB Arena, he established himself as one of the club’s standout performers and one of Europe’s most exciting young wingers.

He recorded an impressive 13 goals and 9 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign. His performances also saw him become the fourth-youngest player to reach double figures in a single Bundesliga season, underlining his exceptional potential.

‎On the international stage, Diomandé continued to impress, emerging as one of Africa’s standout performers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Representing Ivory Coast, he made his debut in the tournament and showcased his quality against top opposition. In fact, he stood out as one of the best performing African players in the World Cup

‎With multiple elite clubs vying for his signature and Leipzig standing firm on their valuation, Diomandé’s future remains one of the most intriguing transfer sagas. Whether Real Madrid return with an improved offer or PSG revive their deal, one thing is certain—his trajectory points firmly toward global stardom.
