FIFA has unveiled plans for a spectacular closing ceremony ahead of the 2026 World Cup final, set to take place at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19, celebrating the unforgettable journey of all 48 teams across the three host nations and 16 cities.
According to FIFA in a memo on its site, the ceremony will feature a star-studded lineup including Laura Pausini, Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams, and IShowSpeed, alongside a special appearance from Tom Cruise. In addition, award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson will deliver a powerful rendition of the United States national anthem, setting the tone for football’s biggest match.
Produced in collaboration with Milan’s Balich Wonder Studio, the show aims to capture the passion, emotion, and global unity that have defined this expanded 48-team tournament, with more surprise guests expected to be announced. Fans inside the stadium will also play an interactive role, with gates opening early to provide a full pre-match entertainment experience.
“Fans at the stadium will have an active role to play in the show and should plan to arrive early, as the closing ceremony begins at 13:30 local time, 90 minutes before kick-off. Gates open at 11:00 (four hours before the start of the match), when a full suite of experiences will begin, including exclusive activations, rewards and additional pre-match entertainment.” FIFA write on its official website.
