Daichi Kamada has reached an agreement in principle to extend his stay at Crystal Palace, with the midfielder set to sign a one-year contract extension with the club.‎‎

Per reports, the new deal is expected to keep the Japanese international at Selhurst Park until 2027. ‎‎

Kamada(29) joined Palace from Italian side Lazio as part of a reunion with manager Oliver Glasner, under whom he previously enjoyed success at Eintracht Frankfurt, notably winning the Europa League in 2022.

‎‎Upon arrival in South London, he signed an initial two-year contract, and this extension reflects the club’s continued trust in his role within the squad.‎‎ From thence, he went on to help the club to it’s first ever trophies, winning the FA Cup and UEFA Conference League.

While the agreement has reportedly been completed, an official announcement from Crystal Palace is still pending, with confirmation expected in due course.‎‎

Meanwhile, Kamada’s international campaign ended in disappointment, as Japan were eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the round of 32 following a narrow 2-1 defeat to Brazil.‎
