Barcelona Agree New Deal With Raphinha Until 2030

The Brazilian forward is set to extend his Barcelona stay as Deco also confirms imminent renewals for Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart.

Barcelona are closing in on a new contract for Raphinha, with sporting director Deco confirming that the Brazilian forward is set to extend his stay at the Catalan club until June 2030.

Raphinha’s current contract runs until 2028, but negotiations have advanced significantly, with the new agreement expected to be completed in the coming week. Speaking to RAC1, Deco revealed: “We had almost finished the matter yesterday afternoon.”

The Nature of the New Deal

The proposed agreement will add two years to Raphinha’s existing contract, keeping him at Barcelona until 2030, when he will be 33.

The player himself has made his intentions clear, telling RAC1 that he wants to renew and would even like to finish his career at Barcelona. That desire has helped pave the way for an agreement that would keep one of Hansi Flick’s most important attacking players at Camp Nou for the long term.

Raphinha’s Barcelona Journey

Raphinha joined Barcelona from Leeds United in July 2022 and immediately contributed to the club’s success. In his first season, he scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists as Barcelona won the La Liga title. He followed that with another 10 goals and 11 assists in 2023/24.

His defining campaign arrived in 2024/25 under Flick. Raphinha produced 34 goals and 22 assists in 57 appearances, helping Barcelona win La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup. His outstanding season also earned him fifth place in the 2025 Ballon d’Or voting, behind winner Ousmane Dembélé, Lamine Yamal, Vitinha and Mohamed Salah.

He continued to contribute strongly in 2025/26, scoring 21 goals despite missing an extended period through injury.

Other New Deals for Barcelona

Marc Bernal and Xabi Espart

Raphinha is not the only Barcelona player in line for improved terms. Deco has also confirmed that negotiations for Marc Bernal and Xavi Espart are advanced.

Bernal is currently contracted until 2029, while Espart’s deal expires in 2028. Both players are expected to receive improved salaries, although the length of their new agreements has yet to be settled.

The three renewals form part of Barcelona’s wider plan to secure important figures for both the present and future.

Raphinha’s Current Form

Raphinha has begun the 2026/27 campaign in spectacular fashion. After six La Liga appearances, the Brazilian has scored nine goals and provided three assists, making him the competition’s leading scorer.

His latest statement came in Barcelona’s 7-2 victory over Racing Santander, when he scored a hat-trick.

At 29, Raphinha is now producing the kind of form that explains why Barcelona are determined to secure his future—and why the club sees him as a central figure in its next chapter.
