Serie A giants AS Roma have emerged as frontrunners to sign Dutch international Crysencio Summerville, as the Italian club meet West Ham United’s valuation.
According to reports by Sky Sports Italia, Roma are prepared to pay around £38 million (€45 million) for the 24-year-old winger. Summerville remains under contract at West Ham until June 30, 2029, after signing a five-year deal in August 2024, which includes an option for a further year. He currently earns an estimated £45,000 per week, and move to the Italian Capital will see him earn more than double his current wage.
Despite interest from several Premier League clubs—including Fulham, Chelsea, and Manchester United—the Dutchman has expressed his desire to leave West Ham following their relegation, with his representatives actively working on securing a move away from the West London based outfit.
While multiple English sides are monitoring his situation, a move abroad now appears the most concrete option, with Roma leading the race and pushing to finalize the deal as negotiations progress.
