Harry Winks has completed a move from Leicester City to Italian Serie A side Cagliari, signing a two-year contract.
The transfer fee for the 30-year-old midfielder remains undisclosed, according to reports.
Winks joined Leicester City from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 for around £10 million, signing a three-year deal. He made 109 appearances for the Foxes and played a key role in their Championship title-winning campaign under Enzo Maresca.
However, his time at the club turned sour in subsequent seasons, as he fell out of favour under multiple managers including Ruud van Nistelrooy and Marti Cifuentes.
A heated altercation with a supporter following a defeat at Portsmouth further strained relations with fans, leading to widespread criticism and boos during his final appearances.
Internationally, Winks has earned 10 caps for England.
The move to Cagliari marks a return to Serie A for Winks, having previously featured for Sampdoria during the 2022–23 season on loan, gaining valuable experience in Italian football.
Winks’ switch to Italy follows a growing trend of Leicester City players heading to Italy, mirroring former captain Jamie Vardy’s recent move to then newly promoted Seria A Cremonese on a free transfer, which brought an end to his 13-year spell at the King Power Stadium.
